To start the ‘No child to the side!’ campaign we organize two demo tour weekends in May. By bus we travel to five family locations in the Netherlands, where refugees and supporters will demonstrate for the rights of the children in the family locations. Would you like to join? You can!

If you don’t want to join for the whole weekend, of course you can also join one of the demonstrations close to you.

Demo tour 1: May 21-22

This weekend we demonstrate at the family locations in Gilze, Katwijk and Den Helder.

 

Saturday May 21st

11:00: get on the Demo tour-bus in Utrecht

13:30: start demonstration FL Gilze

In the evening: Dinner, evening program and overnight stay

Sunday May 22nd

09:30: start demonstration FL Katwijk

14:30: start demonstration FL Den Helder

 

Demo tour 2: May 28-29

This weekend we demonstrate at the family locations in Amersfoort and Emmen and we end the tour with a demonstration at the family prison Kamp Zeist.

 

Saturday May 28th

11:00: get on the Demo tour-bus in Utrecht

12:15: start demonstration FL Amersfoort

In the evening: dinner, evening program and overnight stay

Sunday May 22nd

09:30: start demonstration FL Emmen

15:30: start demonstration family prison Camp Zeist

Practical Info

During the Demo tours we take a bus to the family locations. The first Demo tour takes place on May 21-22 (Gilze, Katwijk and Den Helder). The second Demo tour is May 28-29 (Amersfoort, Emmen and Camp Zeist). You can join one of the weekends, or both.

• Both weekends we get on the bus in Utrecht, on Saturday morning at 11:00. We will give you the exact location when you sign up.
• We will be back in Utrecht on Sunday around 19:00. From Saturday to Sunday we take care of dinner, an evening program, sleeping places and breakfast.
• We ask a donation of all participants, the suggested amount is €6,00 per tour. If you can donate more, this is very welcome.
• Bring a sleeping bag and mattress, and of course also banners and signs. We recommend bringing lunch for the Saturday, and – if you are a light sleeper – some earplugs for the night. If you join Demo tour 2, don’t forget to bring things to make noise for the sound demo at Camp Zeist!
