With a lovely demo group we made some buttons for the kids from the local family prisons. We went also amongst other gezinslocatie a.k.a family prisons all over the Netherlands to kamp zeist. Basically a prison with huge big grey walls covered with fences and signs of “Attention! Dogs!” In the middle of the Forrest. We connected to the people inside , with making noises, talk to them through a microphone and showing our solidarity on this way without seeing them,- we felt them.
Behind these walls.
After all, this is not at all a place where familys should be and raise up there children, there should be no fences and walls between. For these parents it’s the most important thing to safe there children from war and provide them a better live, and after they stayed in this family prisons for some years and learn the language and made friends they just send them back to a country that they don’t even know ? That sounds not real huh ? But it is, it is again a black page in history…and more people should know about that. Intensive, powering nice moments we had, participating against this violating of human rights but especially the rights of education, medical care, privacy for children.
