*1. Radboud Public Roundtable Discussion:*

‘Postcolonial Europe’ from our borderlands

The Departments of Geography, and Anthropology and Development Studies at
Radboud Universiteit cordially invite you to a jointly-sponsored roundtable
discussion on the theme ‘Postcolonial Europe’, a public event capping a
2-day workshop involving a distinguished group of international scholars in
dialogue with Radboud University faculty, students and community activists
spanning our shared Dutch/German borderland (Nijmegen/Kleve).

Inspired by a common need to re-think the European project within the
framework of the complex legacies of European colonial expansion as well as
Europe’s continued post-colonial entanglements with the outside world,
participants at this session will be asked to reflect on the workshop’s key
concerns and thereby open a dialogue with the wider academic-activist
community on what ‘Postcolonial Europe’ might achieve for our research,
teaching, university life  and broader political engagements, in The
Netherlands and beyond.

there is a celebration going on the 11th of March!

We’ll have a jamsession, some DJ’s, and maybe some acts, so feel welcome to
join us. We also hope to play with artists and musicians from Heumensoord.

URGENT: justPeople is looking into quick and alternative housing for our
friends currently living in Heumensoord. For those who have or will shortly
receive their 5-year residence permit, we would like to provide the
opportunity to stay in Nijmegen. For this we are looking for people with
rooms, houses, alternatives, anything that would provide a decent living.
Since COA promises an extra budget (€400) for statusholders living outside
any camp or asylum center, the form of housing does not have to be free,
just lets see within a student’s budget. See COA’s website ‘logeerregeling’

The entrance is free for anyone, and we’ll have a donation for solidarity
initiatives with and for refugees, such as the Women’s Meeting (
